My first post for 2015 and of course it's a post about food! I keep telling people and myself that I'm not a food blogger and I don't want to be, but at the same time food is my life….#FirstWorldProblems. On Sunday morning I caught up with my lovely friend, Cam and her cutie pie son, Eli, for brunch at The Boathouse in Balmoral.
The Boathouse is another one of my favourite places to go to for brunch; the cafe is located right on the beach in Balmoral over looking the stunning waters covered in lush boats and yachts (one day I'll have my own). I just love the casual atmosphere they have and the location on the beach on a beautiful summers day is just perfect; fabulous Sunday.
I've never been disappointed with their menu choices and always find it hard to decide on what to eat given that I love everything there but I just can't eat it all, not in one sitting, which is probably why I keep coming back. Not only is the food and drinks amazing there but the service is impressive; I've never had bad customer service there and the wait staff is always going out of their way to help you regardless of your request.
On this stunning Sunday morning we decided to have brunch and I ordered the Scrambled Eggs with Bacon, Roast Tomato and Sourdough Toast ($19), Cam had the Avocado plus Tomato on Charred Toast with Goats Curd and Basil ($18), Eli had the Toasted Banana Bread with Butter (pepe saya butter of course!), Honey and Mascarpone ($12); well, more like Cam and I ate his meal! We also ordered two coffee frappes and a kids chocolate milkshake which Eli managed to inhale with one breath.
As always, the food was amazing and so tasty. Even on a beautiful summers day, like Sunday, The Boathouse is always busy, however, they have found the perfect key to ensuring that everyone is able to find a table and get their food within a reasonable time. I've not had an experience where I've had to wait too long for either a table or for my meal; it just all seems to work well without the rushed feeling.
If you haven't experienced The Boathouse you really should and the awesome thing is that they have a few locations so you have plenty of options to choose from. They are located at Palm Beach, Whale Beach, Balmoral Beach and soon to open at Shelly Beach; so if you live on the northern beaches (or the north shore side of Sydney) then it's perfect and if you don't, it's worth the trip there. I recommend going especially in summer as all of them are located by the beach so pack your beach gear, head on up to one of the locations for brunch and settle yourself down at the beach for a day of relaxing and chilling.
Happy 2015 and to many more posts from me!

Firstly, wishing all my family, friends and followers a very Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a wonderful time wherever you are and with those that are important to you.
WOW! Another 12 months have past and here I am writing a Christmas post. For me it's been a hectic, fun and an eventful year. I have personally experienced and learnt many new things. One of my biggest achievements of this year is moving into my place and decorating it in my style and personality (this never seems to stop) and I've been falling in love with what I've done each day. I'm proud that everything I own is mine and no-one can take it away from me.
Another achievement that I'll point out and really never thought about ever doing is starting this blog and becoming an official blogger. It is been both inspiring and personal for me; a place where I can share and write about my thoughts, my experiences, my reviews around Sydney, my travels and my journey in life. I wouldn't have been able to achieve this without the help of my beautiful friend, Camielle, who has a blog of her own - Gen-Y Mum. If it wasn't for her guidance, advice and IT help, I wouldn't have got this off the ground. To Cam: Thank you!
The world has experienced many events in the last 12 months and in Australia, especially my own city, Sydney, we have recently been faced with not-so-nice events but events that I believe has brought us closer and made us stronger. Although these events have happened, I believe that there is always a positive to come from it. We may not see it straight away but in time we'll know.
Reflecting on 2014…hmmm… like I've mentioned above, I've had a couple of achievements that I'm really proud of and many special moments with friends and family. However, I am ready to say goodbye to 2014 and hello to 2015. So with this in mind, I'm looking forward to spending Christmas with my family (and the extension of my family) tomorrow and eating myself silly (which pretty much began a couple of days ago). I'm also looking forward to spending the following days with friends celebrating the end of 2014 and brining in 2015.
Have a fabulous Christmas and thank you all for following on my journey this far……

From one of my earlier post, Just Write, I mentioned that I would start telling my friends that I have a blog and that I'm now a blogger. When I started my blogging journey I wasn't sure where I wanted to go with it and honestly, I still don't. All I know is that I'm enjoying this journey so I may as well keep going with it and just go with the flow; especially if it makes me happy, positive and feeling good about myself. That's not a bad thing!
I have started telling most of my close friends about this blog and many have been so excited and happy for me that they have even subscribed (if you haven't, I think you should) to receive any new posting that I have written up and even provided me with some amazing feedback and further encouragement.
One of my beautiful friends mentioned that the blog was "beautifully written & completely honest - very much you! Keep up the great work" and another said "I love the musings and it's really enjoyable to read." It's comments like these that makes me want to keep going and share my experiences, journey and moments (many random ones I must say). It is so heartwarming to know that I'm able to make someone smile and enjoy my blog. I hope to make people smile and happy and if I can do that from my blog, then that makes me happy.
To my friends, thank you for your support and encouragement. Without you all in my life I wouldn't be who I am and I wouldn't haven't learnt so much. You all add something special and amazing into my life and that helps with my blogging!
I'm learning that if you enjoy something, keep doing it. Do something that makes you happy and do it from your heart and do it for love. Everything else will just happen and fall into place.
